Rose Boy

Recently, the background music at my workplace is Mayday’s “Rose Boy”.

I quite like Mayday. I first heard their song 「倔强」 when I was in junior high school and really liked the lyrics.

At the graduation ceremony of junior high school, after it ended, I hummed a few lines in my seat. A girl passed by me and told me it was a song by Mayday.

I still remember that girl’s name, and her daughter is very cute.

Later, I had my own music player, which also had many Mayday songs.

In my senior year of high school, I got into a car accident. After returning to school, the songs I listened to the most every morning were “Suddenly Missing You” and “Wisteria”.

It should have been around April or May at the time. I remember the gentle breeze in the morning, the not-too-bright sun outside, and the scenery outside the window at that time.

Later on in college, I listened to “I Don’t Want You to Be Alone” a lot while running.

Afterwards, I listened to them less frequently.

One day, I suddenly heard a song I really liked, and then searched for it and found out it was Mayday’s “Rose Boy”.

After many years, listening at such a high frequency once again made me feel very impressed!

I haven’t forgotten, I just lost a little bit of attention. You are still the you I met back then.

Which rose does not have thorns.
