Recently, while scrolling through my social media feed, I came across a post that caught my attention.

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but it’s been especially difficult to find a job this year. Despite the staggering 28 trillion in printing money last year, compared to the mere 4 trillion in previous years, it’s like a drizzle of rain. But somehow, the CPI actually decreased last month! There’s an abundance of money that can’t be lent out, leading to stagnation in the financial sector.

The entire social system has changed; young people can’t find jobs, let alone dare to spend. There’s an excess of automobile production capacity, and a large number of houses remain vacant. The current economic crisis is no different from the one in 2008.

But when I try to recall my memories of 2008, all I remember are those ordinary days. In my recollection, everything was calm, as if we were discussing another world.

I only remember the cicadas chirping on that summer day, the sweltering afternoon sun, the hawthorn tree filled with fruits, and the tall mimosa tree shrouded in morning mist. Each summer vacation was filled with endless chirping of cicadas, followed by the first snowfall…

Remembering the days in the city, after the cicadas chirp, the first snow falls. The gentle rain on the eaves lingers in the season of first encounters.
